Exercises You Can Do With A Fitness Band For Leaner Thighs

Exercising for a leaner body doesn't require fancy machines or top-of-the-line cardio equipment. You may be able to get the body you want by using an exercise band, you just need to know how to use it and use it properly. Hip Abduction

Place the exercise band around your legs and just above your knee. You can do this in a few different ways. For example, you can lay on your back with your knees bent and open your knees until you can no longer open them and feel a pull in your hips. Close your knees with some tension still on the band. You can also do this while standing, bend one knee and lift your leg out to the side until you can no longer lift it. Lower the leg back to the starting position with tension still on the band. Continue doing this on the same leg for 10 reps, then repeat on the other leg.

Squat With Lateral Movement

Place the band around your legs, again, just above the knee. Lower your body to a squatting position with your legs hip-width apart. Move your body in a lateral movement to one side, staying in the squatting position, then move back the other way. Continue to move your body back and forth in this lateral motion, while in the squatting position and hold the band in place. This can work your hips, buttocks, and thighs as well.

Leg Lift

Sitting in a chair, place the exercise band around one ankle, then place the band around the other ankle as well. Lift one leg to a straightened position, pointing the heel out. Then lower it to the starting position. Repeat lifting the leg for at least 15 reps, then repeat on the other side. 

Inner Thigh Exercise

Stand with the exercise band around one ankle and the other band around a fixed object that is heavy enough to hold the weight of the band. Move your leg inside so you feel a pull in the inner thigh. Return your leg to the starting position and repeat for 10 reps. Move the band to the other leg and repeat for 10 reps.
